gonna give this blog thing a try..

All I can say is, I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE READY FOR SUMMER. It seems like this semester is dragging on forever........ 2 more weeks. And I really should be studying right now... but i hate math, and bio isnt any better so I am going to blog!So lets see, two things I learned this weekend: 24 hours in a car over the span of three days makes me extremely cranky, and its the little things you do for people that make the biggest difference. I went with David's family to a funeral in Ponca City this past weekend and it was really great. I mean the circumstances werent great.. it was for Mr. Bob's(papaw) funeral, but just being with his family was really fun. They are the kind of family that just makes you feel so loved and appreciated, whenever I am with them it just feels like I'm home. So we are in Ponca, and its the night before the funeral, and I decide to bake a cake, just a plain yellow cake with chocolate icing..it made them so happy, and they just kept telling me thank you for it, and how good it was over and over again. And I realized.. it wasnt so much the cake, it was the fact that they knew I cared enough to do that for them, as small a deed as it was, it showed them that I love them. Thats whats so neat about life...sometimes you get a whole lot out of something really small. Other things that happened on the trip: I learned how to drive a standard (hah finally..), had the most AMAZING taco ever, learned that flea market really means "cheap crap", texas has puppies for sale on ever corner of the highway..seriously.., and men should not wear spandex. It was a really good weeked...now back to the real world..and studying..So not ready for finals next week..oh well.
